The READ ACT is definitely Honkenbonkers
The Bipartisan Research Excellence and Advancement for Dyslexia Act (READ ACT) was signed into law by the President Obama on February 18th, 2016!
Thank you co-sponsor US Congressman Lamar Smith (R-TX) for all you did to get this Act passed and signed. Thank you co-sponsor Congresswoman Julia Brownley (D-Calif) and the 100 members of the Congressional Dyslexia Caucus for supporting this Act.
This law increases funding to support important research to further our understanding of dyslexia. It will also improve methods for early detection and help teachers train to teach dyslexic learners.
