United States Congressman Lamar Smith is Honkenbonkers!
I recently met with United States Congressman Lamar Smith in Austin, Texas. He invited me to a meeting to discuss the R.E.A.D Act and the word Honkenbonkers. The READ Act is a bipartisan bill that was introduced by Representative Smith and Representative Julia Brownley. It increases funding for Dyslexia Research and Education.
Congressman Smith was very interested in the origins of the word Honkenbonkers and wanted to know why I was interested in Dyslexia. I told him that I’m dyslexic and still managed to invent a word.
